Zoey was just like every other normal 14 year old girl, that is until her DNA gets merged with an iriomite wildcat. Now she is a leader of a band of girls who's DNA have also been merged with animals called Mew Mew Power.
Zoey, Minto, Bridget, Kikki, and Renee have to save the world from the aliens Dren, Sardon, and Tarb.
When ever Zoey gets nervous or excited her cat DNA takes over which makes her ears and tail pop out. she also has a boyfriend call mark, who she was with when her DNA was merged.
ichigo momomiya is the leader of the mew mew. she has a big crush on masaya(aka)mark.shes infused with a iromote cat.
Ichigo is a timid and somewhat panicky and whiney character in some repsects and often lets others push her around while thinking unkind thoughts about her "tormentors" behind their backs while lacking the courage to tell her employers, who all happen to be her age or higher, what's on her mind about her working conditons. She was infused with the DNA of a wild cat and whenever she is excited or scared the ears sprout from the top of her head. As the leader of the Mew Mews as she calls the people who were infused with animals DNA, it is her responsibilty to be the bravest (yeah, right) and face any danger and has a cute little rhyme whenever she transforms into her Mew Mew self. Although she is willing to hunt down and fight aliens, she's terrified of ghosts; "Dread. Hate. Terror."

Minto is byfar the luckiest to be infused with the DNA of the extinct blue lorikeet and when she transforms has small wings that protrude from her back. A Minto off the job as a Mew Mew is just as calm and laid-back as a regular girl at her place of employement at the Mew Mew Cafe, though as she really does is sit around and drink tea half the time while Ichigo does most or all of the work. She can be very sarcastic and relentless when she wants to do something that Ichigo doesn't but seems to get the last word and her way no matter what her "leader" says. When she wanted to see a ghost, she had to lead Ichigo around on a leash while she fruitlessly protested.
Aizawa Minto is a very lazy, snobby, and bossy girl. Minto has the DNA of the extinct animal the blue lorikeet. Minto oftens procrastinates her work at the mew mew cafe and just sits there and drinks tea.

Retasu is a very polite and sweet girl who goes to a Jr. High School with a lot of snobby and insultive girls who she wants to be friends with, she did this mainly by doing their homework and paying bills whenever they went out as a group, but it was clear that they did not like her. She happened to arrive on the scene at just about the time as a ghost was said to be haunting her school and her friends ordered her to take a picture of it, no doubt thinking she would chicken out and run away. Minto overheard this and, being bored, was determined to see it and dragged (literally) Ichigo around on a collar at night. Retasu was mistaken for an alein by Mini-Mew but escaped before she could be seen fully. The "ghost" as it turned out was really Retasu in her Mew Mew self of a mermaid and wanted to be more popular and thought she could do that if people thought she was a ghost (yeah, that made sense) and procceeded to try and drown the two other girls. It was only when Minto told her how she understood what it felt like to feel alone that she became their friend and started working at the Mew Mew Cafe herself. Retasu is your typical Not-so-pretty Jr. High girl with glasses too big for her most of the time, but her Mew Mew self looks like a prom queen (like all the Mew Mews)and you probably wouldn't recognize her, since she goes through a complete transformation.
Lettuce is a shy, scared person who dosen't like doing dangerous things. When it comes down to it, however, she will face the toughest challenges to do what's right.
She is very good friends with Ichigo, as well as the other Mew Mews. When they hire her to work at the cafe, you find that she is very, very clumsy. Hr special power can turn her lower torso into a fish's tail (mermaid).
She's a shie girl and she's got the Spirits of a wale in her. She hasn't got much courage but she likes Ichigo and her power.

Purin is the monkey-girl. She originally came from China. Her full name is Purin Fong. She loves putting on performances for money. ^^ She's the shortest of all the Mew Mews.
